Earlier this week we caught up with Luke Skinner, Director, Europe Strategy, Projects & Change Transformation, to get his views on the impact Covid continues to have on the Legal Sector as the UK starts to reopen.

"As the pandemic restrictions have gradually eased in the UK over the past six months, we have seen a surge in hires across the consultancy Big Four.

Since 2020 many of the more archaic law firms have had to adopt more cloud-based technologies in order to service clients as effectively as before. This has led to a slight revolution in designing client experience, in order to help differentiate the consultancies and magic circle firms from their competition.

Many companies are now looking for a versatile, virtual practice that consultancies have been able to help with and this has led to a surge in hires across the board. Legal is not alone in seeing comparative double-digit growth numbers compared to 2020 which bodes well as we move into H2 of 2021.

Luke focuses on hiring Strategy and Corporate Development roles across both Financial Services, Fintech, Professional Services and Consumer Goods.  Typical mandates will require candidates that have been educated and trained through the top Management consulting practices, these can include General Management, Heads of, Directors and VP’s of Strategy, Analytics or both Investment and Portfolio roles in Private Equity.
